This weekend I attended the biggest book fair of my life in MINES Mall,Malaysia. Discounts were at an all time high i mean books were going for as low as $1.00. It was my ultimate dream, with over 3 million books to choose from, I felt like a child in a candy store. There were fiction books, cook books, kids books, photography, you name it it was probably there.
I went in there ready for battle, battle for some books that is. With so many people there, it was hard moving around and finding books which i wanted to get, not to mention the strain of having to carry around a big box that I can put all my selections into.
My feet hurt from moving around so much in that huge area, searching and grabbing whatever book called my attention. I was hot, sweating and more than very hungry. And then when I finally had all the books i wanted( more like all the books I could afford tot take) I finally went to pay and the ques were insanely long. I was exhausted, but kept going, the end was near and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. All that said, it was well worth it and the most unpleasantly fulfilling experience of my life. 😀
Enough of my complaining, these are all the books I bought! I have already finished reading one in one night. 😀

Harriet’s honeymoon takes a surprising turn when her husband invites another couple to join them in this sequel to Dark Secret After her wedding to film director Lewis James, Harriet Radcliffe is dismayed to learn that her husband has invited another couple, his married friends Noella and Edmund, to join them on their honeymoon. It soon emerges that Lewis is planning to make another of his hugely successful cinema verite films, using real life as his material. Knowing that Harriet finds Edmund attractive, he plans to explore her forbidden desires. However, Edmund has designs on Harriet, and Lewis’s plan goes awry as he finds himself competing to regain his bride.
Not all the characters in this book are not as evolved and as growing as i would like it to be. But it is an “OK” read, the main character evolves and changes as the twists and turns of the book give him new feelings he never thought he would have. The scenes are too set up though for my liking and not as spontaneous as i would like.
The book has the statement ” Devoured Fifty Shades? Then lose yourself in Forbidden Desires”.. which i don’t see as a real fit to the book since it is nothing like Fifty Shades Of Grey at all.. But for erotica lovers, this is the book for you.
I doubt i will be reading anything else by Marina Anderson, but like i said, if you are a fan of erotica then this is a good one for you.

You’ve devoured Fifty Shades . . . now dive in to the wild intensity of Dark Secret . Harriet Radcliffe is bored with her life. At twenty-three, her steady job and safe engagement seem very dull. If she is to inject a little excitement into her life, she realises, now is the time to do it. But the excitement lying in wait for Harriet is beyond even her wildest ambitions. Answering a job advertisement to assist a world-famous actress, Harriet finds herself plunged into an intense and secret world of sexual obsession – playing an unwitting part in a very private drama, but discovering in the process more about her own desires than she had ever dreamed possible . . . The prequel to Forbidden Desires
I personally never read erotic novels, and to tell the truth i did not think it would be such..( i had an idea but it by far surpassed my thoughts). The story is one which could be somewhat interesting if not for the many sultry scenes. The storyline is well formed, but it is basically formed around the sex scenes. Characters are highly manipulative and develop as the story continues. It is very disturbing and keeps you interested to see where the story leads.
But i believe it is rather predictable, through out the entire time reading it i could tell where the story was heading, but of course with a twist and surprise ending at the end i was very satisfied and shocked.
They say on the cover “You’ve devoured Fifty Shades . . . now dive in to the wild intensity of Dark Secret” but i would not suggest this read for the people who enjoyed 50 shades( as i did), because they are both erotic, but 50 shades is for romantics and this one is for those who just want some steamy, sexy, raunchy scenes.. 🙂
